Ride Gradings

grade4 Easy - The ideal trip for those who like to take their time out on the road and not over-stretch things. Distances will depend on terrain, but expect to cover around 60km (35-40 miles) per day on flat and rolling roads, with plenty of time to stop off along the way. Great for beginners and intermediate riders.

grade3 Medium – Designed to appeal to occasional riders wishing to gain a little more experience. Attainable for novices and yet still interesting for regular riders. These tours are often rolling, but with the occasional hill thrown in, distances average around 60-75km (40-45 miles) per day, although the terrain and conditions will determine schedules.

grade2 Moderate – If you ride regularly at weekends, or more, then our Grade 3 trips should prove fun and challenging. Distances average around 80-100kms (45-60 miles) per day, depending on the terrain. Some challenging climbs are often thrown in too.

grade1 Challenging – Challenging routes for the more serious rider, attainable also for fit weekend riders. On these trips you can expect distances of around 85-140kms (50-90 miles) per day, depending on the amount of climbing involved. These tours contain at least one major climb in the daily route.
